While speaking at a public gathering in Chhattisgarh, Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Saturday attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over its failure to fulfill its promises made to farmers of the state.

- Farmers plead to BJP govt to waive off loans but Mr. Modi refuses to do so. Farmers are made to pay but when their crops are damaged they’re not given their rightful share of insurance
- BJP had promised bonus to farmers but they didn’t fulfill it. Congress party will even fulfill promises made to farmers by BJP
- Congress party will establish food processing plants in each district. This will help in generating employment to youth and provide fair prices to farmers
- We will give land to families which do not own land in Chhattisgarh. We have put this down in our manifesto and we will fulfill it
- Modi’s minister in Lok Sabha said that unemployment today is the highest in 20 years
