The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received Rs. 437 crore in donations above Rs. 20,000 in 2017-18.
The same was revealed in a report released by Association for Democratic Reforms, an NGO which monitors political parties in India, on donations above Rs 20,000 received by national political parties for 2017-18.
The report is based on income declared by political parties before the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The Congress received just Rs 27 crore in such donations in 2017-18.

The total value of donations received by political parties above Rs. 20,000 in 2017-18 was Rs. 470 crore.
The BJP reported a total income of Rs. 1,027 crore which includes the amount it received as donations.
In 2016-17, the BJP had reported a total income of Rs. 1,034.27 crore. It got Rs. 532.27 crore in donations above Rs. 20,000, which was 12 times more than the amount Congress got in similar donations.
