On a day when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his cabinet took oath of office at the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) website was hacked.
A beef recipe post along with a picture of a beef dish was shared on the website’s homepage. It also carried a message: Hacked by ‘Shadow_V1P3R.’
Even the sub-sections of the website were changed, with the word BJP replaced with ‘beef.’ ‘About BJP’ was changed to ‘About Beef’, ‘BJP History’ was changed to “Beef History’, and ‘BJP Leadership’ was edited to ‘Beef Leadership.’
Under the ‘Beef Items’ category, different beef recipes were changed.
A Twitter user Elliot Anderson (@fs0c131y) shared screenshots of the hacked website in a series of tweets.
