Modi govt conspiring to ‘bleed and shut’ PSU: HAL Welfare Forum

The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Welfare Forum on Thursday accused the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led NDA government of hatching a systematic conspiracy to bleed and shut down the PSU.

In a statement issued by the forum, it mentioned a few points and suggested that Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was making false claims to build a false narrative of HAL being incapable of building Rafale aircrafts and its refusal to guarantee the manufacture of the Rafale aircraft.

The statement also mentioned that the Congress-led UPA government provided HAL with an advance of 40 per cent but Modi government discontinued this process.

Condemning the present government’s decision denying transfer of technology to HAL in the Rafale deal, the forum said that it has not only hurt India’s strategic and national interests but also denied the PSU an opportunity to grow in the global defence technology space.
