Burial without autopsy of Unnao rape witness smells of conspiracy: Rahul Gandhi

A key witness in the Unnao gang rape and murder case, in which Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar is the main accused, died under mysterious circumstances.

No post-mortem of key witness Yunus was conducted instead, he was buried hurriedly.

Gang rape victim’s uncle has alleged that the jailed BJP MLA and his goons responsible for the mysterious death.

With regard to the same, Congress President Rahul Gandhi hinted towards a conspiracy behind the eyewitness’ mysterious death and hurried burial without an autopsy.

“The mysterious death & hurried burial without an autopsy, of the key witness in the #Unnao rape & murder case, involving BJP MLA Kuldeep Sengar, smells of a conspiracy. Is this your idea of “justice for our daughters”, Mr 56?” Gandhi tweeted.

However, the information shared by the Uttar Pradesh Police with the CBI, Yunus, who ran a general merchant shop in the same village where Sengar and the victim lived, was allegedly not well for some time.

He was suffering from liver ailments for quite some time and died last week.

A case was filed after the rape victim’s father was fatally assaulted allegedly by the brother of the MLA Atul Singh Sengar and four others.

The father of the rape victim had died in the prison where he was kept on the alleged false charges under the arms act.
